Vision-guided sample tube handling

A diagnostics manufacturer needed to load sample tubes into racks faster and without errors. Manual loading was slow and repetitive, and it was prone to misplaced or mis-oriented tubes that caused downstream rework.

We designed a pick-and-place cell that uses machine vision to locate and verify each tube before it is placed in the rack. Gripping, motion, and vision components were sourced as one integrated package. We then installed the cell, commissioned it on the customer's floor, and trained operators on changeover between rack formats.

Tube loading is now automated and verified on every pick, removing a manual bottleneck from the line.
