01
Problem
A plastic molder needed faster, more complete dimensional inspection of molded tubes and dishes. Manual gauging was slow, depended on the operator, and could only check a handful of features per part.
02
Approach
We defined the critical features and tolerances, then evaluated three 3D scanning paths on cost, integration scope, and long-term support. The selected scanner was paired with a custom fixture and an automated measurement routine, so operators load a part and get a full dimensional report.
03
Outcome
Full-geometry inspection replaced manual gauging, giving the quality team repeatable results in a fraction of the time.
